WONDERFUL Vintage Inuit Eskimo Doll entitled BEAD DOLL by world renown artist Martina Pisuyui Anoee ,dressed traditionally, lovely to display!

This is a lovely example of an Inuit doll, by Martina Pisuyui Anoee-Martina was born in 1933 in the McConnell River area south of Arviat, Nunavut. Her works are in the National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa ON) and in the Smithsonian Libraries (Washington DC, USA). She was a member of the Nunavut Arts and Crafts Association.

The doll's clothing has wonderful attention to detail. This interesting doll figure stands about 9.5 inches. It still has the original Canada Eskimo Art label-igloo tag with item registry number 15000940 , which dates from 1992 and the price was 140.00. The purpose of the Igloo Tag Trademark was primarily to separate Inuit-produced artifacts from mass-market, mass-produced, fraudulent works not produced by artists of Canadian Inuit origin.
