Osborne was known to make interesting plaques of buildings and room interiors that were designed with a three dimensional effect, hand painted and then dipped in wax.
This lovely antique Ivorex plaque measures about 6 inches by 9.5 inches being about 1 inch deep . The plaque has Shakespeare's House Stratford on Avon incised at bottom left corner.
The back of the wall hanging is stamped Ivorex, Made In England, Arthur Osborne . In very good condition with slight ware as to be expected with an item of this age, displays beautifully, the details are totally breath taking! Makes a special gift for the lover of Shakespeare.
