1925 Real Photo Postcard of Earthquake Damaged Hotel Californian, Santa Barbara, Collectible Vintage Postcards

         WONDERFUL original real photo postcard showing the St Barbara earth quake June 29th 1925.
On June 29, 1925 at 6:42 am a major earthquake hit the area of Santa Barbara. It was 19 seconds in duration and registered 6.8 on the Richter magnitude scale.
View of the Hotel Californian, located at the south corner of State and Mason, after the earthquake struck. The hotel had opened just 8 days before. The hotel was restored after the earthquake. Apparently in 2012 the hotel was demolished , but the facade and 2 side walls were kept intact.
The postcard is in good condition, slight waves in the postcard, if placed under weight it would flatten it, otherwise very nice condition with a great message on the back.
